“端午节”怎么说？
关于这个节日的英文说法，目前最流行的是：Dragon Boat Festival，而不是采用全拼的方式--Duan Wu Festival。
因为选取端午节中的核心意像--“龙舟（dragon boat）”作为节日的名字，十分形象生动，也很好记。
“粽子”怎么说？
如果有的老外听不懂，可以这样解释：
pyramid-shaped sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves
(包在竹叶里的锥形的黏大米~)
sticky /ˈstɪk.i/ 黏的
pyramid/ˈpɪr.ə.mɪd/锥形的
英语版：sticky rice dumpling
(黏大米饺子,老外也是很创意了)
“包粽子”怎么说？
如果强调的是"包"这个动作，可以说：wrap zongzi
如果说的是包粽子的"过程"，要用：make zongzi

“端午节”被认为是纪念屈原，但这一点一直有争议。不管怎么说，我们还是要感谢他：
如果用最简单的英语来介绍屈原，那么我觉得应该是这样的：
In the ancient Chinese country of Chu, there was a very smart and well-known minister and poet. His name is Qu Yuan.
在一个名叫楚国的古代国家，有一位聪慧且有名气的大臣和诗人，他的名字叫屈原。（minister：大臣）
But because of someone’s slanders, the King banished him to the very south of China --far away from his own country and close to the river Mi Luo Jiang.
但是，由于一些人的诽谤，楚王把他流放到中国最南端--一个远离他的母国，靠近汨罗江的地方。（slander：谗言、诽谤，banish：流放）
Qu yuan was not happy being so far from his home country. So he committed suicide by drowning himself in the river Mi Luo Jiang.
屈原因离开故土而郁郁寡欢，所以他选择用投汨罗江的方式结束生命。（commit suicide：自杀；drown：把…淹死）
But the people like Qu Yuan very much. So they sent out dragon boats to find his dead body soon-- but they didn’t find him.
但人们都非常喜欢屈原，他们纷纷划龙舟到处找寻屈原的尸体，但是一无所获。
So they made Zong Zi, so the fish would eat this instead of the dead body.
所以，他们做了粽子（抛撒到江里），这样鱼儿就会吃粽子而不会去吃屈原的尸体了。
